Overview#
Svarene is designed to keep your personal perimenopause logs on your device whenever possible.
You do not need an account to use Svarene. We do not sell your health data. We do not use your health data for ads, marketing, or unrelated data mining.
Some optional features require limited data to leave your device so they can work:
- If you choose to use Vee, Svarene's optional AI companion, your chat message and limited context needed to answer may be sent through Svarene's secure server-side relay to Anthropic, our third-party AI provider.
- If you use weather-related insights, your city or coordinates may be used to request weather, air-quality, or pollen information from Open-Meteo.
- If you purchase Svarene Premium, Apple, Google, and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription-status information.
Svarene is a wellness app for personal tracking and general education. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease, and it does not provide medical advice. This is general health information, not medical advice. Please consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions.
Information Stored on Your Device#
Most personal information you enter in Svarene is stored locally on your device using the app's local database. This may include:
- symptom logs
- cycle entries
- mood, sleep, energy, and daily notes
- treatment notes
- supplement notes
- lab-result entries you choose to enter
- health profile information you choose to save
- app settings
- local chat history with Vee, if you choose to use Vee
- city or location settings used for optional weather-related insights
Svarene does not require you to create an account. We do not require your name, email address, username, or password to use the app.
Svarene does not operate a cloud account system for your health logs. We do not use CloudKit, iCloud sync, or our own cloud database to sync your symptom logs, cycle entries, treatments, notes, or lab entries to our servers.
Depending on your phone settings, Apple or Google may include app data in device-level backups under your own Apple or Google account. Svarene does not control or access those backups. You can manage device backup settings in your phone's system settings.
Because most Svarene data is stored locally, it remains on your device until you delete it in the app, reset app data, or uninstall the app.
Information We Do Not Require#
Svarene does not require:
- your name
- your email address
- account credentials
- contacts
- calendar access
- photos or images
- a full address
- precise identity information
Svarene does not include advertising SDKs. Svarene does not use Google Analytics, Segment, Mixpanel, Firebase Analytics, or similar third-party analytics SDKs.
Vee — Optional AI Companion#
Vee is Svarene's optional AI companion. You can use Svarene without using Vee.
Before your first Vee chat, Svarene asks for consent and explains that Vee uses a server-side relay and a third-party AI provider. If you do not consent, you can continue using the rest of the app.
When you send a message to Vee, the following may be sent from the app to Svarene's secure server-side relay, hosted through Supabase Edge Functions, and then to Anthropic, our third-party AI provider:
- the chat message you type
- limited context needed to answer your question, such as approximate age range, perimenopause stage, primary symptom categories, or recent pattern summaries if the app uses them for the response
- your two-letter country code, if needed for region-appropriate safety or crisis resources
Svarene does not send your full symptom database to Vee. Svarene does not send your name, email address, device identifier, full address, photos, or precise location to Vee.
Your local Vee chat history is stored on your device. You can delete local chat history from the app where that option is provided.
Svarene's relay is designed to pass your request to the AI provider and return a response. The relay is not designed to store your message content or Vee's responses as a health record. Operational logs may include limited technical metadata, such as timestamps, status codes, error indicators, and service diagnostics, to operate, secure, debug, and maintain the service.
Anthropic's handling of API data is governed by Anthropic's current commercial/API terms and privacy documentation. We do not control Anthropic's policies, and they may update them. You should review Anthropic's current privacy and API data-retention documentation for more detail.
Do not use Vee for emergencies, diagnosis, treatment decisions, or medication dosing. Vee provides general wellness education only and is not a substitute for a clinician.
Weather-Related Insights#
Svarene may offer optional weather-related wellness insights.
If you enter a city or allow location access, Svarene may store your city or coordinates locally on your device so the app can request weather, air-quality, or pollen information.
To provide this feature, Svarene may send city-level location or coordinates directly from your device to Open-Meteo. Open-Meteo receives the location information needed to return weather, air-quality, or pollen data. Svarene does not send your name, email address, account information, or symptom database to Open-Meteo.
You can use Svarene without granting location permission. You can also manage location permission in your phone's system settings.
Environmental-symptom insights and correlations are designed to be processed on your device.
Purchases & Subscriptions#
Svarene uses Apple in-app purchases and Google Play billing where applicable. Svarene also uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status and access to Svarene Premium.
Apple or Google processes your payment. Svarene does not receive or store your credit card number.
RevenueCat may process purchase-related information such as:
- product purchased
- subscription status
- renewal status
- transaction or entitlement status
- an anonymous app user identifier
Svarene does not require a personal account for purchases.
Biometric Authentication#
If you enable Face ID, Touch ID, or device authentication inside Svarene, authentication is handled by your device.
Svarene does not receive or store your biometric data.
Educational Content#
Svarene includes general wellness education and health-related reference information. Source links are provided inside the app on Health Sources, Health Conditions, Preventive Care, and other relevant screens.
Svarene's educational content is for general information only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
How We Use Information#
Svarene uses information only to provide and maintain app features, including:
- storing your logs locally on your device
- showing your personal tracking history
- generating Vee responses when you choose to use Vee
- providing optional weather, air-quality, or pollen-related insights
- managing purchases and subscription access
- securing, debugging, and maintaining app functionality
- responding to support or privacy requests you send to us
- We do not sell your health data.
- We do not use your health data for advertising.
- We do not use your health data for marketing.
- We do not use your health data for unrelated data mining.
- We do not use your health data to build advertising profiles.

Svarene uses limited third-party service providers to operate specific app features.
Apple
Apple processes App Store payments, subscriptions, refunds, and related App Store account activity.

Consumer Health Data Notice#
To the extent applicable, this section also serves as Svarene's consumer health data privacy notice.
Svarene may process consumer health data that you choose to enter or generate in the app, such as symptom logs, cycle entries, treatment notes, supplement notes, lab-result entries, health profile selections, and Vee chat messages if you choose to use Vee.
The sources of this information are:
- information you enter into the app
- app settings you choose
- optional device permissions you grant
- optional purchase/subscription information from Apple, Google, and RevenueCat
- optional weather-related location or city information
Svarene uses this information to provide the app features described in this policy.
Svarene does not sell consumer health data.
Svarene does not use consumer health data for advertising, marketing, or unrelated data mining.
Svarene may share limited information with service providers only as needed to provide the specific features described in this policy, such as optional Vee responses, optional weather insights, and purchase management.
Because Svarene does not require an account and stores most personal app data locally on your device, we may not be able to identify or access local app data from our systems. You can delete local app data directly in the app or by uninstalling the app.
Your Data Controls#
Svarene provides controls for your data, including:
- Export your data where export is available in the app.
- Delete local app data from Settings where deletion controls are provided.
- Delete local Vee chat history where that option is provided.
- Revoke or reset Vee consent where that option is provided.
- Manage location permission in your device settings.
- Manage subscriptions through Apple or Google subscription settings.
Because Svarene does not require an account and does not store your local health logs on our servers, there is generally no Svarene account for us to delete remotely.
If you contact us by email, we will use the information you provide only to respond to your request and maintain necessary support records.
Analytics & Tracking#
Svarene does not send custom analytics events to our servers.
Svarene does not include advertising SDKs.
Svarene does not include third-party analytics SDKs such as Google Analytics, Segment, Mixpanel, or Firebase Analytics.
Svarene does not intentionally send symptom logs, cycle entries, treatment notes, lab entries, Vee message content, or health profile details to crash-reporting or analytics services.
Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Supabase, Anthropic, Open-Meteo, or your operating system may process limited technical or operational information under their own policies as needed to provide their services, process purchases, run infrastructure, or maintain platform security.
Children's Privacy#
Svarene is designed for adults navigating perimenopause and is not directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We also do not knowingly collect consumer health data from anyone under 18.
If you believe a child has used Svarene, please contact us and we will assist with available steps. Because Svarene stores most personal app data locally on the device, local deletion may need to be performed on that device.
Data Security#
Svarene is designed to minimize data collection by keeping personal logs on your device whenever possible.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the app and the limited data flows described in this policy.
International Data Processing#
Svarene is operated from the United States. Some service providers used by Svarene may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
The limited data that leaves your device, such as optional Vee messages, purchase-status information, or optional weather-location requests, is handled according to the applicable service provider's terms and privacy policy.
Changes to This Policy#
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes or as legal, platform, or service-provider requirements change.
If we make material changes to how Svarene handles personal information or consumer health data, we will update this page and may provide an in-app notice where appropriate.
The effective date at the top shows when this policy was most recently updated.
