Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 18, 2026

Svarene is operated by Tiny Threads AI LLC, a Michigan limited liability company.

THE SHORT VERSION

Your health data stays on your phone. We don't have it.

We don't sell data. We don't share data. We don't want your data.

Svarene is built so that your most personal health information never leaves your device.

1. DATA WE COLLECT & WHERE IT LIVES

On Your Device Only

Everything you log in Svarene — symptoms, cycle data, mood, sleep, treatments, supplements, lab results, journal entries, AI chat history, your city and its coordinates, and your settings — is stored exclusively on your phone using a local database (SQLite via expo-sqlite).

• We have no server that stores your health data.

• There is no cloud sync of health information.

• Your data exists only on your device — it is never backed up to our servers.

• If you delete the app, your data is permanently gone. Device backups: If you have iCloud Backup enabled on iPhone or auto-backup enabled on Android, your Svarene database may be included in those backups under your own Apple or Google account. Svarene has no access to those backups, but you should be aware that they exist. You can disable device backups for Svarene in your phone's settings.

Because your data is stored locally on your device, it remains available until you delete it through the app or uninstall the application. We have no ability to remotely access, delete, or expire your data.

What We Never Collect

• Your name, email address, or account credentials (no account required).

• Your full symptom history database.

• Photos or images of any kind.

• Device identifiers linked to health data.

• Contacts, calendars, or other personal data.

2. AI COMPANION (VEE)

Vee is Svarene's AI health companion, powered by Anthropic's Claude API.

How It Works

When you send a message to Vee, it passes through our server to Anthropic's Claude API. Our server does not persist your message content or Vee's responses. Basic operational logs (timestamps, status codes, error indicators — no message content) may be retained for up to a few days for debugging and are then automatically deleted.

What Is Sent to Anthropic

• The chat message you type.

• A brief, structured health context summary (e.g., approximate age range, perimenopause stage, primary symptom types) — never your raw logs or full history.

• Your two-letter country code (e.g., "US", "GB") so Vee can surface region-appropriate crisis resources and health guidance.

What Is Sent to Anthropic

What you type is sent as-is. We recommend avoiding full names, addresses, phone numbers, or other identifying details in chat messages. Vee works effectively with general descriptions ("my daughter's wedding," "my doctor," "the city where I live") rather than specifics.

What Is Never Sent

• Your name, email, or any personal identifiers.

• Your full symptom database.

• Photos or images.

• Your precise location, coordinates, city, or any identifier

more specific than country code.

• Device identifiers.

Anthropic's Data Handling

As a commercial API customer, your Vee conversations are not used to train Anthropic's models (per Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service) and are subject to Anthropic's standard commercial data-handling practices. See Anthropic's Commercial Terms and Privacy Policy (linked in Section 8) for current details, which Anthropic controls and may update.

Svarene is designed to minimize data collection by keeping personal health information on-device whenever possible. Svarene is not a HIPAA-covered entity and does not store protected health information on its servers.

Your Control

• You must explicitly consent before Vee is activated (one-time consent screen).

• You can revoke consent anytime in Settings.

• All Vee conversations are stored on-device only — you can delete them from Settings.

3. SUBSCRIPTION & PAYMENT

Payments are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status.

• We never see your name, credit card number, billing address, Apple ID, or Google account.

• RevenueCat receives only an anonymous subscriber ID.

• No payment data touches our servers.

4. ENVIRONMENTAL DATA

Svarene fetches weather, air quality, and pollen data from Open-Meteo, a third-party weather API (open-meteo.com). Open-Meteo data is provided under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license.

How Location Is Used

• When you set your city in Svarene, your city name and its precise coordinates (latitude and longitude) are stored locally on your device.

• To fetch weather, air quality, and pollen data, Svarene sends those coordinates directly from your device to Open-Meteo.

• Open-Meteo receives only your coordinates and the weather fields requested — no name, email, or device identifier.

• Your coordinates and city are never transmitted to Svarene's own servers. Only your two-letter country code is sent to our AI backend (see Section 2).

• Your location is not shared with any other third party.

• Open-Meteo does not track users or use cookies. See their Terms (linked in Section 8) for their current data practices.

• All environmental-symptom correlations are computed entirely on your device.

5. CRASH REPORTING & ANALYTICS

• Svarene does not send crash reports, stack traces, or custom analytics to our servers, and we do not use analytics SDKs such as Google Analytics, Segment, Mixpanel, or Firebase Analytics. The subscription SDK (RevenueCat) sends anonymous subscription-status telemetry required for billing. The operating system itself (iOS or Android) may collect standard platform-level telemetry outside our control; you can review that in your phone's privacy settings.

• No advertising SDKs — we do not serve ads and never will.

• No health data is sold or shared with third parties — ever.

If this changes in a future version (for example, if we add opt-in crash reporting to improve app stability), we will update this section and note the change in the effective date above.

6. YOUR RIGHTS & CONTROLS

• Export your data: download all your data as a CSV file from Settings at any time.

• Delete your data: permanently erase all data from Settings. This is immediate and irreversible.

• Revoke AI consent: disable Vee anytime from Settings. The app works fully without AI.

• No account to delete: since we don't require an account and store no health data on servers, there is nothing to request deletion of from us.

Compliance

Svarene's on-device architecture is compliant by design with:

• GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation)

• CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)

• Washington My Health My Data Act (this policy also serves as our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy under that Act)

Because your health data never leaves your device, the protections these laws require are built into how Svarene works.

As Svarene primarily stores data locally on your device, cross-border data transfers are minimal. The limited data that does leave your device (weather coordinates to Open-Meteo; chat text and country code to Anthropic via our stateless backend) is handled according to those services' respective privacy policies, linked in Section 8.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Svarene is designed for adults navigating perimenopause (typically ages 38–55). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

If you believe a child has used Svarene, please contact us and we will assist in removing any on-device data.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Svarene relies on a small number of third-party services. Here is exactly what each one does and where to find their privacy policies:

• Open-Meteo — weather, air quality, and pollen data (Terms).

• Anthropic — AI companion Vee (Privacy Policy).

• RevenueCat — subscription management (Privacy Policy).

• Apple — App Store payments (Privacy Policy).

• Google — Play Store payments (Privacy Policy).

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we make material changes, we will post an updated version here with a new effective date and update the policy version referenced inside the app. For significant changes affecting how your data is handled, we may show a notice in-app when you next open Svarene.
